Golden Rule of Accounting

There are three types of accounting rule

1) Personal
2) Real
3) Nominal
Types of Account

1) Personal A/ c: Debit the Receiver And Credit the Giver

For example, i) Cash paid to Mr. A
Mr. A A/c Dr.
     To Cash A/c Cr.
(Cash paid to Mr. A)

ii) Cash received from Mr. C

Cash A/c Dr
      To Mr. A/c
(Cash received from Mr c)

Personal A/c including the Natural Personal Account, Artifical Personal Account,
Representative Personal Account

2) Real Account
What comes in Debit 
Whit goes out Credit

For example Furniture Purchase in cash 10000
Furniture A/c Debit
       To cash A/c Credit

Real Account means also Impersonal Account 
That including  Tangible Real Account (Land Building, Furniture, All Assets)
And also Intangible A/c (Goodwill, Trademarks, Patents, Etc.)

3) Nominal Account
All Expenses and losses Debit
All Incomes and Gain Credit

For example, Cash received from the ram of Rs 10,000 Against commission
Cash A/c Debit (Real account Dr)
     To commission A/c Credit (Nominal A/c Cr)

Nominal account means Account showing expenses and showing incomes
Rent, Wages, Salary paid to employees
A basic concept of accounting
Accounting: It is an art of recording, classifying and summarizing in a significant manner and in terms of money, transactions, and events which are of the financial character and interpreting the results thereof.
Business Transaction: A business transaction is “The movement of money and money‟s worth form one person to another”. Or the exchange of values between two parties is also known as “Business Transaction”.

Debit: The receiving the aspect of a transaction is called a debit or Dr.
Credit: The giving an aspect of a transaction is called credit or Cr.
Receipts: It is a document issued by the receiver of cash to the giver of cash acknowledging the cash received Vaucher
Account: Account is a summarized record of all the transactions relating to every person, everything
Ledger: The book of final entry where accounts lie.
Journal entries: A daily record of a transaction.

व्यक्तिगत लेखा(Personal Account)
व्यक्ति एवं संस्था से सम्बंधित लेखा को व्यक्तिगत लेखा कहते है । जैसे पवन का लेख, आकाश वस्त्रालय का लेखा व्यक्तिगत लेखा हुआ ।

व्यक्तिगत लेखा का नियम (Rule of Personal Account)

पाने वाले को नाम (Debit The Receiver)
देने वाले को जमा (Credit The Giver)
स्पष्टीकरण :
जो व्यक्ति कुछ प्राप्त करते हैं उन्हें Receiver कहा जाता है और उन्हें Debit में रखा जाता है । जो व्यक्ति कुछ देते है, उन्हें Giver कहा जाता है और उन्हें Credit में रखा जाता है।
उदाहरण :
मोहन को 1000 रुपया दिया गया, मोहन 1000 रुपया ले रहा है वह Receiver हुआ इसलिए उन्हें Debit में रखा जायेगा ।
मोहन को सोहन से 1000 रुपया प्राप्त हुआ । सोहन 1000 रुपया देय रहा है वह Giver हुआ । इसलिए उन्हें Credit किया जायेगा ।

वास्तविक लेखा (Real Account)

वस्तु एवं सम्पति से संबंधित लेखा को वास्तविक लेखा कहतें है । जैसे रोकड़ का लेखा, साईकिल का लेखा वास्तविक लेखा हुआ ।

वास्तविक लेखा का नियम (Rule of Real Account)

जो आवे उसे नाम (Debit what comes in )
जो जावे उसे जमा (Credit What goes out)
स्पष्टीकरण :
व्यवसाय में जो वस्तुएँ आती है उसे Debit में रखा जाता है और व्यवसाय से जो वस्तुएँ जाती है उसे Credit में रखा जाता है ।
उदाहरण :
मोहन से 1000 रुपये प्राप्त हुआ । एक 1000 रुपया आ रही है इसलिए उसे Debit में रखा जाता है ।
सोहन के हाथ घड़ी बेची गया । घड़ी जा रहा है इसलिए उसे Credit में रखा जायेगा ।

3      अवास्तविक लेखा (Nominal Account)
खर्च एवं आमदनी से सम्बन्धित लेखा को अवास्तविक लेखा कहा जाता है । जैसे किराया का लेखा, ब्याज का लेखा अवास्तविक लेखा हुआ ।

अवास्तविक लेखा का नियम (Rule of Nominal Account)

सभी खर्च एवं हानियों को नाम (Debit all expenses and losses)
सभी आमदनी एवं लाभों को जमा (Credit all incomes and gains)
व्यवसाय में जो खर्च होता है उसके नाम को Debit किया जाता है । इसी प्रकार जो आमदनी होता है उसके नाम को Credit किया जाता है ।
·         Debit all expenses and losses : General entry में, सभी Expenses और Lossesको Debit किया जाता है।
·         Credit all income and gains : General entry में, सभी Incomes और Gains को Credit किया जाता है।
